LSF Visits Film Companies to Disseminate Film Censorship Service Standards
Jakarta, 26 February 2026 — During 2025, the Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF RI) issued 545 Film Censorship Certificates (Surat Tanda Lulus Sensor/STLS) for feature films, consisting of 275 imported films and 270 domestic films.
The censorship materials for these domestic films came from 167 production houses, not all of which necessarily understand the service standards for film and film advertisement censorship. “We are implementing a transformation in services, where the system is integrated online with licensing at the Ministry of Culture to avoid duplicate form submissions. This helps reduce service costs,” said LSF Chair Naswardi.
For this reason, LSF considers it important to disseminate these standards to various film companies. One such activity took place at PT Kharisma Starvision Plus in Jakarta on Thursday (26 February 2026), where it was noted that the company ranked as the second-highest domestic film production house in terms of censorship services in 2025.
During the dissemination of the updated censorship service standards at the company, LSF presented a certificate of appreciation. The owner of Kharisma Starvision Plus, Chand Parwez Servia, expressed pride and gratitude to LSF for this recognition.
He also stated that after 30 years of operation, Starvision has produced 187 films and provided a brief outlook for 2026. “This year, we have six female directors who will collaborate with us,” he said. (Nuz)
