LSF Holds First Plenary Meeting of 2026
Jakarta – The turn of the year is a key period for the work programs of the Film Censorship Institution of Indonesia (Lembaga Sensor Film Republik Indonesia ), as it requires careful planning for new initiatives as well as the continuation of existing programs.
To this end, LSF members convened an early year plenary meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday (6 November 2025) to discuss performance evaluation and preparations for the 2026 work program.
According to the Chair of LSF, Naswardi, the meeting addressed the finalization of the 2025 Performance Report, which will soon be submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon.
The meeting also discussed the continuation of key 2026 programs, including the development of the Electronic Based Censorship Administration System (e-SiAS) application and monitoring applications.
“We are finalizing the academic draft for the bill on the third amendment to Law No. 33 of 2009 on Film, as well as completing studies on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for film censorship,” Naswardi explained.
Through these early year discussions, LSF expects to further refine the implementation of its 2026 work program. “This is intended to ensure that the 2026 programs are more structured and deliver tangible benefits to the public,” he concluded.(Nuz)
