LSF Focuses on Eight Priority Programs

Jakarta, June 2, 2026 — The Film Censorship Board of Indonesia (LSF RI) is finalizing its strategic plan by focusing on the implementation of eight key activities in 2026 while also setting priority program targets for 2027. This approach is intended to ensure that work programs continue to be implemented effectively within the available budget.

“We aim to complete these eight activities by the end of July so that we have sufficient time to prepare a timeline should additional funding become available later,” said LSF Chair Naswardi during an LSF plenary meeting held in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 2, 2026).

The eight activities will be carried out by LSF’s three commissions. Commission I will focus on technical guidance for the development of the Electronic Censorship Administration System (e-SiAS). Commission II will conduct media literacy and legal education programs in several locations. Meanwhile, Commission III will intensify the promotion of the National Movement for a Culture of Self-Censorship (GNBSM) through public film screenings in several regions, including Jakarta, West Sumatra, North Sulawesi, and East Java.

In addition, LSF is working to improve several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including the number of censorship submissions processed, competency development for film censors, media literacy and self-censorship education for 12,000 members of the public, and an improved performance rating under the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP).
