2025 LSF Awards: A Star-Studded Event Unlike Any Other

Jakarta, the 2025 LSF Awards (Anugerah Lembaga Sensor Film 2025) stands out as a unique celebration, bringing together three realms of recognition  television, cinema, and the commitment to upholding Indonesia’s self-censorship culture (budaya sensor mandiri).

“This kind of award doesn’t exist anywhere else,” said Naswardi, Chairman of the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (Lembaga Sensor Film Republik Indonesia / LSF RI), during a press conference held with Indosiar in Jakarta on Monday (November 3, 2025).

Naswardi explained that the awards serve as a tribute to those driving the advancement of the national film industry  from broadcasters and filmmakers to cinema networks and the general public. He emphasized LSF’s mission to promote age-appropriate viewing habits and strengthen public literacy on film classification.

“Today, films and visual content are not limited to television or cinemas. They’re also thriving on digital and internet-based platforms, many of which still fall outside formal regulatory and curation mechanisms,” he noted.

The 2025 LSF Awards will air live on Indosiar on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from Studio 5, Emtek City, Jakarta, featuring a star-studded lineup of Indonesian performers including D’Academy 7 finalists, Lemon, Putri Ariani, Leslar Family, Ungu, and Dewi Persik.

Harsiwi Achmad, Director of PT Surya Citra Media, Tbk (SCM), shared details of the event’s creative concept, which blends education, entertainment, and culture in a fresh, engaging format. “We’ve designed the show to include elements of dramatization and storytelling, making it both educational and entertaining. It’s a production that brings together the worlds of television and film,” she explained.

With its combination of artistry, advocacy, and public education, Anugerah LSF 2025 stands as a landmark event celebrating creativity while reinforcing the values of responsibility and cultural integrity in Indonesia’s evolving screen landscape. (Fay/Nuz)
