LSF Presents Awards for Children’s Songwriting Competition Winners and Inaugurates LSF Corner

Jakarta, 19 December 2025

The Film Censorship Institution of Indonesia (Lembaga Sensor Film Republik Indonesia ) presented awards to four winners of the 2025 Children’s Songwriting Competition (LCLA). The awards ceremony was held at the LSF office in Jakarta on Friday (19 December 2025), with total prizes amounting to IDR 100 million.

The winners were Halimpusada Family with the song Sesuaikan Usiamu (First Prize), Ayah Ari and Ruby with Bila Salah Tontonanmu (Second Prize), Yoga Adhianto with Mari Kita Memilah (Third Prize), and Nova Nur Syant with Ayo Peduli Sensor Mandiri (Favorite Award).

The winning songs were selected through a curation process of 114 submissions, narrowed down to 52 entries. Final winners were chosen by a jury consisting of former child singer Adi Bing Slamet, singer and psychologist Tika Bisono, and senior music producer Jan Djuhana.

Carrying the theme “Smart in Selecting and Choosing Viewing Content,” the competition was organized as a creative and educational campaign that is child-friendly. Children’s songs are expected to serve as an effective medium for delivering moral values and educational messages, particularly in the digital era, where access to television, digital platforms, and social media content is increasingly easy.

“This songwriting competition is not merely a contest, but part of a broader effort to engage the public especially songwriters and artists in the National Movement for a Culture of Self-Regulated Censorship,” said Kuat Prihatin, Chair of the LCLA LSF 2025 Organizing Committee.

Following the awards ceremony, LSF officially inaugurated LSF Corner, a mini museum and public education center located in the lobby area of the LSF building. The space features documentation of Indonesia’s film history, film censorship archives from various periods, censorship tools, and profiles of figures who have contributed to the national film and censorship landscape.

LSF Corner also includes exhibition spaces and art installations related to audience age classification, particularly for All Ages (SU), Teen (13+), Adult (17+), and Adult (21+) film categories, and serves as a center for the National Movement for a Culture of Self Censorship (GNBSM), promoting age-appropriate viewing.

According to the Chair of LSF, Naswardi, the facility on the ground floor is intended as a dialogue space for film practitioners and industry stakeholders in relation to film review, censorship, and age classification services. “Censorship should no longer be understood narrowly as a restriction on creative works,” he stated.

LSF Corner also provides reference resources for audiences through film guides. These resources function as instruments to protect children as a vulnerable group from exposure to sensitive content, including pornography, violence, narcotics, gambling, content that degrades human dignity, content related to ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA), as well as other unlawful acts.

The Film Censorship Board of Indonesia is a permanent and independent state institution tasked with assessing the suitability of films and film advertisements before distribution and public exhibition. Film censorship is mandated under Article 57 of Law No. 33 of 2009 on Film, which requires all films and film advertisements intended for distribution and exhibition to obtain a Film Censorship Certificate (STLS) from LSF.
