Na Willa
In a small alley in Surabaya in the 1960s, the world unfolds like a sky yet to be fully drawn. There, Na Willa (Luisa Adreena) grows up surrounded by the sounds of an old radio that feels almost magical to her. The sky seems impossibly blue, dust dances in the light, and the laughter of friends drifts gently through her days. At home, she is guided by Mak (Irma Rihi), a woman with a gentle face and quiet strength. Mak is not only the caretaker of the home but also a source of calm, teaching Willa patience, resilience, and how to embrace life despite its uncertainties.
Na Willa tells a story of childhood that is simple yet meaningful. It reflects courage in facing life honestly, the role of imagination as a source of comfort, and memories that later grow into longing. This quiet and warm journey invites audiences to reconnect with the experience of being a child, even if only for a moment. The Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) has classified the film for audiences of all ages (SU). (fas)
