Don’t Follow Me
Don't Follow Me (No Me Sigas) tells the story of a content creator named Carla (Karla Coronado), whose life gradually turns into a mystery when she feels she is being followed by an unknown figure. At first, she believes it is only anxiety, but strange occurrences begin to appear, from shadows in mirrors to people around her behaving unusually. As she searches for the truth, she becomes drawn into a blurred layer of reality between memory, trauma, and the possibility that the threat may come from something closer than she imagined.
The film uses an atmospheric and psychological approach, combining thriller elements with existential horror that keeps audiences questioning what is real. The use of tight camera angles and dim lighting enhances the sense of being trapped within the main character’s mind. The narrative is intentionally ambiguous, allowing for multiple interpretations. Notably, Don’t Follow Me is also one of the Spanish-language films screened in Indonesian cinemas, adding to the diversity of international content available to local audiences. The Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) has classified this film for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (fas)
