LSF RI Welcomes Jakarta Film Week 2025 Delegation, Explores Inclusive Cinema Collaboration

Film Censorship Institution of The Republic of Indonesia (LSF RI) welcomed a visit from the organizers of Jakarta Film Week (JFW) on Wednesday (10/9) in Jakarta. The visit marks a shared effort to strengthen collaboration between government institutions and the film industry in building a more inclusive and competitive national film ecosystem.

Rina Damayanti, Festival Director of Jakarta Film Week 2025, shared that this year’s festival adopts the theme “Reignite”, aiming to renew appreciation for Indonesian cinema through both offline and online platforms. “The theme reflects our passion to reignite the spirit of filmmaking and film-watching, especially after the major challenges faced in recent years,” said Rina.

LSF Chairman Naswardi highlighted the importance of equal access to film for all layers of society, including persons with disabilities. He emphasized that collaboration between LSF and JFW is a strategic move to shape a healthier, more creative, and socially responsive film landscape in Indonesia.

“LSF fully supports JFW’s initiative to create a wide and inclusive space for film appreciation. This aligns with our mission to ensure every citizen can enjoy films safely and comfortably,” he stated. Jakarta Film Week 2025 is scheduled to run from October 22 to 26, 2025, featuring a variety of flagship programs designed to stimulate the growth of the film industry and foster cross-cultural collaboration among filmmakers from Indonesia and abroad.
