Jakarta, September 17, 2026 — Public information disclosure is part of the Film Censorship Board of Indonesia’s (LSF RI) commitment as a public institution to fulfilling the public’s right to information.

“We are committed to providing information and services, particularly in the context of film censorship, in a transparent, accountable, consistent, and reliable manner,” said LSF Chair Naswardi during a capacity-building program on public information management in Jakarta on Thursday (September 17, 2026).

Joemarthine Chandra, Head of Strategy and Research at the Central Information Commission (KIP) and a speaker at the event, emphasized the importance of leadership commitment in promoting public information disclosure. She said this commitment should be implemented through regulations that facilitate public access to information and through measurable strategic plans for information management.

LSF’s progress was reflected in the Public Information Disclosure Award, where it achieved the “Informative” category with a score of 91.43 based on the 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) results, a significant increase from its score of 12 in 2024.

Joemarthine added that public information management should maintain a balance between transparency and the protection of information classified as exempt from public disclosure.

“Data published for the public does not need to be presented in full detail. It can be simplified and processed beforehand, and it is entirely appropriate to present it in narrative form,” she explained.

Through this program, LSF continues to strengthen public information governance by enhancing the capacity of its Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID), developing information services, and fulfilling institutional requirements for the implementation of public information disclosure.

The program also included assistance in completing the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) for LSF 2026 Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev). (Dwi Indah/Tin)
