High Enthusiasm Prompts LSF to Expand Participants for National Children’s Songwriting Competition

Jakarta, October 17, 2025 — Responding to the growing public enthusiasm for the 2025 National Children’s Songwriting Competition, Film Censorship Institution of the Republic of Indonesia (LSF RI) has announced an expansion of the competition’s participant categories. Originally limited to students and university students, the contest is now open to the general public.

“We received many requests to broaden participation so that anyone with musical talent can submit their work,” said Kuat Prihatin, Chair of the 2025 National Children’s Songwriting Competition Committee, on Friday (17/10/2025).

With this change, applicants are no longer required to submit student or university identification cards as part of their registration.

“We’ve also removed the age limit. Anyone capable of creating original music is welcome to participate,” Kuat added.

Registration remains open from September 29 to November 7, 2025. Interested participants can register via the official form provided at https://bit.ly/LombaCiptaLaguAnakLSF2025, accompanied by a signed and stamped declaration of originality.

Entries may be submitted individually or in groups of up to four people. Each song must be based on the official LSF jingle and uploaded to the participant’s YouTube account, with a short clip also shared on TikTok using the hashtags: #LombaCiptaLaguAnak | #LembagaSensorFilm | #GerakanNasionalBudayaSensorMandiri | #GNBSM

Carrying the theme “Smartly Choosing and Sorting Content”, the competition serves as a creative and educational campaign for children, forming part of the National Movement for a Self-Censorship Culture (GNBSM).

LSF initiative encourages children to connect long-standing traditions of children’s culture with today’s fast-evolving world of mass media and technology. Through simple lyrics and cheerful music, the competition aims to instill positive messages in an enjoyable and lasting way.

Ultimately, the National Children’s Songwriting Competition seeks to nurture creativity and embed strong values among young creators through works that are educational, inspiring, and fun. (Nuz)
