National Film Day (Hari Film Nasional/HFN) commemorates a historic milestone in the development of Indonesia’s film industry. It serves as an expression of appreciation for the achievements and progress of Indonesian cinema today, rooted in the production of Indonesia’s first national film, Darah dan Doa, directed by Usmar Ismail.
