Sinta (Dian Sastrowardoyo), the only daughter of Hartini (Retno Soetarto), inherits the family’s old Wiryo Guest House, a place filled with memories from the past that continue to linger in the present. Amid the lives of guests who come and go, Sinta is reunited with Banawan (Roy Sungkono), her childhood friend and a man she once loved. However, the arrival of several other men as guests brings hope, love, and betrayal, gradually drawing Sinta and her family into a series of complicated circumstances.

Yang Datang dan Yang Pergi marks Nurman Hakim’s return to feature-film directing after Bid'ah Cinta (2017), while also becoming Nan Achnas’s latest work following The Photograph (2007). The film, Triximages’ latest project with the international title The Ones Who Come and Go, has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 13 and above. (ynp)
