WUTHERING HEIGHTS
Catherine (Margot Robbie) is delighted to have an adopted brother whom she names Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi). Heathcliff is an orphan taken in by Catherine’s father, Mr. Earnshaw (Martin Clunes). From childhood, Catherine and Heathcliff grow up together, and over time, their bond develops into love, although neither of them expresses their feelings. The arrival of Edgar (Shazad Latif), a nobleman and new neighbor, changes the dynamic between them. Misunderstandings and their inability to be honest about their emotions lead to actions that ultimately harm one another.
Adapted from the novel Wuthering Heights (1847) by Emily Brontë, the film features Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Elordi had planned to step away from acting before director Emerald Fennell offered him the role without an audition, selecting him based on her impression that he resembled early illustrations of the character. The film has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age (nwo)
