Blake (Christopher Abbott) takes his wife, Charlotte (Julia Garner), and their daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth), on a trip to his childhood home deep in a dense forest. On the way there, Blake gets lost because he has not returned to the house for many years since his father left. As night falls, Blake struggles to see the road clearly and suddenly swerves to avoid hitting someone. Their truck plunges down a ravine and becomes lodged against a large tree. As Blake and his family try to escape from the vehicle, a werewolf attacks them.


Adapted from The Wolf Man (1941), the film is directed and co-written by Leigh Whannell. Whannell previously wrote the screenplays for several films, including Saw (2004), Dead Silence (2007), Insidious (2010), and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013). He made his directorial debut with Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) and later directed Upgrade (2018) and The Invisible Man (2020). Released in cinemas on 17 January 2025, Wolf Man has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 17 and above (17+).
