Teddy (Dimas Aditya), a soldier, travels with his friend Kevin (Fauzan Nasrul) to Teddy’s hometown to reunite with his wife, Annisa (Adinda Thomas). Although night is approaching, Teddy insists on continuing the journey. Annisa and Datuak Hitam (Anton Permana), Annisa’s uncle and a traditional community leader, have warned them not to pass through the forest at night. The forest surrounding the village is believed to be the territory of the Urang Bunian, supernatural beings known for abducting humans and taking them into their realm. Ignoring the warning, Teddy and Kevin eventually become trapped in the forest, where they experience a series of terrifying events within the realm of the Urang Bunian. As they struggle to find a way out, they must confront supernatural terror and horrifying creatures inhabiting the forest. However, the harder they try to return home, the more difficult it becomes to find their way back.

Director Rendy Herpy previously directed Love in Game (2022). Combining the myth of the Urang Bunian with supernatural terror in a life-and-death struggle within a forbidden forest, Urang Bunian has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 13 and above.
