Tinggal Meninggal
Gema (Omara Esteghlal) has always been considered odd since his school days, constantly talking to himself and struggling to socialize. At work, he suddenly gains warmth and attention from his colleagues Kerin (Mawar de Jongh), Ilham (Ardit Erwandha), Adriana (Shindy Huang), Danu (Mario Caesar), Naya (Nada Novia), and even his boss, Pak Cokro (Muhadkly Acho) after they mistakenly believe his father has passed away. But as time passes, that sympathy fades. Desperate to reclaim their care, Gema devises a string of dramatic scenarios, even going so far as to stage the deaths of his cat, his mother (Nirina Zubir), and eventually, himself.
Tinggal Meninggal marks the directorial and writing debut of Kristo Immanuel, already known for his success as an actor. Teaming up with Imajinari Pictures, he brings a sharp-edged dark comedy with satirical humor and biting commentary on the human need for recognition.
LSF has rated Tinggal Meninggal suitable for audiences aged 13 and above. (rna)
