Terikat Jalan Setan
Rusti (Della Ogini) is a young woman desperate to attain wealth without hard work or corruption. In her pursuit of an easy path to riches, she turns to the supernatural, seeking the help of a jin (spirit). Accompanied by Kuncan (Elly Ermawati), the guardian of the forest, Rusti enters a remote and forbidden woodland to perform a dark ritual. Before sealing her pact, she is instructed to witness the unseen world. However, after glimpsing terrifying visions from the spirit realm, Rusti panics and tries to withdraw from the deal only to realize that she is already bound by forces beyond her control.
Written, directed, and produced by Harry Dagoe Suharyadi, Terikat Jalan Setan explores Javanese occultism and mystical traditions, inspired by the filmmaker’s personal experiences dating back to 1979. Blending elements of horror, spirituality, and sensuality, the film portrays the dangers of seeking shortcuts to fortune through forbidden means.
