Siti si Vampir
Siti (Satine Zaneta), a young woman living in a low-cost apartment complex who is also the breadwinner of her family, is accidentally turned into a vampire after being “bitten by mistake” by Nakkula (Ciccio Manassero), a senior vampire who captures her heart. Despite being an amateur vampire with reversed fangs and limited powers, Siti sees her transformation as an opportunity to escape the financial struggles of her everyday life. However, when her apartment complex becomes a target for vampires, Siti must choose between conforming to their system or fighting against it.
The film was developed from the Singaporean series Siti Vampire (M. Raihan Halim, 2021), a five-episode production by Viddsee. Siti si Vampir marks Viddsee’s first feature-length film and is a collaborative production between Indonesia and Singapore. According to director Rahabi Mandra, vampires in the film are used as a metaphor for social class. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified Siti si Vampir for audiences aged 13 and above. (anq)
