Riley (Sarah Durn), the host of the YouTube channel Paranormal Paranoids, mysteriously disappears along with three of her friends after investigating an abandoned location known as Shelby Oaks. Four days later, her companions are found brutally murdered, while Riley remains missing. Mia (Camille Sullivan), Riley’s sister, continues searching for her, but after twelve years without answers, she begins to fall into deep depression. One day, Mia discovers a final recorded tape left behind by Riley, which becomes the starting point of a new and unsettling investigation.
Directed by American YouTuber Chris Stuckmann, Shelby Oaks marks his feature-film directorial debut. The film opens as a mockumentary before unfolding into a series of tense supernatural events, blending fragments of Riley’s childhood, footage from her final days of filming, and local folklore and history tied to the town of Shelby Oaks.The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated Shelby Oaks for audiences aged 17 and above.
