Setan Botak di Jembatan Ancol
The terror of Si Manis Maryam (Indah Permatasari) at Ancol Bridge, which is widely believed in by local residents, is exploited by Setan Botak (Ozy Syahputra), who frightens the community by disguising himself as Si Manis Maryam. Many villagers become so terrified that they are forced to sell their homes to Harun (Cornelio Sunny), the owner of an orphanage. Harun and his wife, Rima (Cinta Dewi), not only seek to take control of the Ancol area but also exploit the children under their care until the age of 13. Harun’s cruelty and the chaos he creates enrage Si Manis Maryam, prompting her to try to save the children at the orphanage.
Setan Botak di Jembatan Ancol draws on the legendary Indonesian horror tale Si Manis Jembatan Ancol, which has long been familiar to Indonesian audiences. The film was written and directed by Anggy Umbara, who previously directed several horror films, including Vina: Sebelum 7 Hari (2024), Kromoleo (2024), Munkar (2024), and Siksa Neraka (2023). This horror-comedy film features CGI (computer-generated imagery) effects and contains frightening scenes as well as violence involving children. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified the film for audiences aged 13 and above. (rna)
