Ilmira (Imelda Therinne), a horror comic creator, moves into her family’s old house to work on her latest project. The relocation comes after her recent divorce from her husband, Salman (Revaldo). Instead of finding peace and focus, Ilmira encounters a mysterious woman named Elsa (Aurora Ribero), whose presence disrupts her work. Soon, strange and terrifying events begin to unfold, plunging her into a living nightmare.

Samar marks the directorial debut of Renaldo Samsara, who previously made his mark in screenwriting and film production. His screenwriting credits include I Am Hope (Adilla Dimitri, 2016) and Love is Blind (Rachmania Arunita, 2019). LSF  has classified Samar for viewers aged 17 and above.
