Zizi (Lutesha) and her four friends Keanu (Ajil Ditto), Theo (Chicco Kurniawan), Ale (Julian Jacob), and Mia (Lania Fira) are on a road trip when they decide to make a quick stop at a rest area. What begins as a brief and harmless break quickly turns into a nightmare when they encounter the terrifying hantu kresek (Afrian Arisandy), a ghost wrapped in a plastic shroud.

Confused and frightened, the group of privileged young travelers must find a way to escape the relentless supernatural terror that lurks within the rest area. Rest Area marks the directorial debut of Aditya Testarossa, who also wrote the screenplay.
