Pesugihan Sate Gagak
Three close friends Anto (Ardit Erwandha), Dimas (Yono Bakrie), and Indra (Benidictus Siregar) are trapped in financial hardship. Anto needs a large dowry to marry Andini (Yoriko Angeline); Dimas, a horror content creator who is losing his audience; and Indra is struggling in online loan debt. Desperate, they turn to a dark shortcut: a pesugihan (black magic ritual for wealth) that involves selling crow meat satay to supernatural beings. Though money begins to pour in, the terrifying consequences of their decision soon spiral out of control.
Premiering in early November 2025, Pesugihan Sate Gagak marks the directorial collaboration debut of Etienne Caesar and Dono Pradana. Despite avoiding high-tech CGI, the film successfully blends eerie horror with absurd humor. With elements of profanity, blood, and mystical folklore wrapped in comedy, the film has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 13 and above. (ian)
