Panor
Nuan (Chalita Suansane) gives birth to her baby girl while practitioners of black magic in her village are demonstrating their supernatural powers. As a result, the baby, named Panor (Cherprang Areekul), is believed to have been afflicted by a black magic curse. From childhood through adolescence, Panor is shunned by the villagers because she is considered a bringer of misfortune. Those who interact with her often suffer terrible consequences, sometimes even death. The situation changes as Panor reaches adulthood, marked by her first menstruation. She becomes the target of black magic practitioners because of a secret her mother has been keeping.
Panor is a prequel to two Thai horror films, Art of the Devil 2 (2005) and Art of the Devil 3 (2008). Both films tell the story of an adult Panor who has become a teacher—a profession that the teenage Panor in this film still aspires to pursue. All three films were directed by Tum Puttipong Saisrikew. Due to its intense violent content, the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified Panor for audiences aged 21 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (sof)
