Hanya Namamu dalam Doaku
Arga (Vino G. Bastian) is a devoted husband and father to Hanggini (Nirina Zubir) and their daughter Nala (Anantya Kirana). Working as a contractor with his cousin Rio (Ge Pamungkas), Arga’s life is upended when he is diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a terminal illness that can lead to paralysis and death. Determined to shield his family from grief, he hides his condition with the help of Rio and Marissa (Naysila Mirdad), his former girlfriend who is now a doctor. Arga quietly plans for a better future for his loved ones while the disease advances. Yet secrecy breeds misunderstanding. As physical symptoms worsen and the truth begins to surface, Arga must confront the widening emotional distance at home and the ethical cost of his concealment.
The family’s journey becomes a test of honesty, love, and resilience, challenging each of them to face fear and find strength in one another. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated the film for all ages (SU). (irf)
