One Battle After Another
The revolutionary group French 75 is forced to separate and go into hiding after one of their members, Perfidia Beverly Hills (Teyana Taylor), is captured. Sixteen years later, Perfidia and her partner Bob Ferguson (Leonardo DiCaprio), along with their adopted “daughter,” Willa Ferguson (Chase Infiniti), once again find themselves hunted by a special forces unit led by Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn), who is determined to eliminate every remaining member of French 75. In a desperate bid to protect his family, Bob reunites with his old comrade Sensei Sergio (Benicio Del Toro), who has been living undercover as a karate instructor and together they rally a team of allies for one last stand.
Inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, this marks director Paul Thomas Anderson’s tenth feature film and his first collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio. Considered one of the most acclaimed writer-directors of his generation, Anderson has earned 11 Oscar nominations, 3 Golden Globes, and a Grammy Award. He also remains the only filmmaker to win Best Director at Cannes, Berlin, and Venice.
