Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy
Three teenage band members embark on a road trip from Kansas City to Los Angeles, chasing their dream of becoming the opening act for Green Day’s New Year’s Eve concert. Their journey begins when Tommy (Mason Thames) mistakenly believes that his band has received an official invitation to open for Green Day, only to discover that it was merely a prank played by his older brother.
Directed by Lee Kirk, Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy is the first film based on a story by Green Day vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong. Lee Kirk portrays the teenagers’ journey as an adventure filled with chaos, laughter, and the dynamics of teenage friendship, inspired by Green Day’s early touring years. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (azi)
