Ustadz Adam (Arya Saloka) is known as a ruqyah practitioner who helps people deal with supernatural disturbances. However, following a major tragedy that befalls his family, Adam chooses to live an ordinary life. One day, his neighbor Fitri (Acha Septriasa) seeks his help after experiencing a series of strange incidents. Adam eventually returns to practicing ruqyah, which he had left behind. As the disturbances grow increasingly intense, he must confront not only forces beyond rational explanation, but also emotional wounds and inner struggles that he has yet to fully overcome.

This Indonesian religious horror film is adapted from the Malaysian film Munafik (Syamsul Yusof, 2016). Exploring themes of ruqyah, supernatural disturbances, and struggles of faith, the film adapts its production approach and characters to the social and cultural context of Indonesia.
