The Principality of Zeon is at war with the Earth Federation. On 18 September 0079, during an attack on the Side 7 space colony, the Earth Federation discovers a new weapon and loses track of the RX-78-2 Gundam. Five years later, in the independent Side 6 colony, Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa) finds herself caught up in the search for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Amate then meets Nyaan (Yui Ishikawa), a war refugee who introduces her to Clan Battle and puts her in the pilot seat of the new Gundam GQuuuuuuX prototype. She subsequently takes part in the underground mobile suit fighting competition.

This animated film marks the first Gundam production in collaboration with Studio Khara. Much of the film was creatively led by staff members who previously worked at Gainax on anime titles such as Evangelion, FLCL, and Diebuster. Scheduled for theatrical release beginning 12 March 2025, the entertainment film Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Beginning has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences of all ages (SU). (nmn)
