Misteri Cek Khodam
Rolly (Reiner Manopo), an intelligent and innocent Quran teacher, does not believe in mystical phenomena. After his parents pass away, he lives with Mang Ujang (Daus Separoh), one of his relatives. Rolly is unaware that his parents were once involved in shamanism, jinn, and demonic practices. His late father had apparently passed down his khodam, a supernatural guardian spirit, to Rolly. Without realizing it, Rolly begins to experience numerous strange events. However, he repeatedly escapes danger, including a robbery and various attempts by Indra (Tyo) to harm him.
Inspired by the “cek khodam” phenomenon that has gone viral on social media, the film is directed by Master Limbad, a magician known for performing extreme stunts. Limbad previously directed Ajian Maut (2024). Misteri Cek Khodam is a collaboration between Master Limbad and Gus Idris, the head of the Thoriqul Jannah Islamic Boarding School in Malang, Idris Al Marbawi. Featuring elements of mysticism and the occult, the film has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 13 and above. (rna)
