Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Picking up where Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One left off, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) faces his most perilous mission yet. A rogue artificial intelligence, The Entity, has infiltrated nuclear weapons command systems across major superpowers including the U.S., Russia, China, India, and Pakistan with the intent to trigger a global catastrophe. The only way to stop it is by uploading a custom-built “virus” designed by Luther (Ving Rhames). But the virus is in the hands of Gabriel (Esai Morales), a deadly disciple of The Entity, who seeks to control the AI for his own conquest. Ethan must rally his team Grace (Hayley Atwell), Benji (Simon Pegg), Paris (Pom Klementieff), and Degas (Greg Tarzan Davis) to accomplish the impossible and prevent worldwide annihilation.
This is the eighth installment in Tom Cruise’s iconic spy-action franchise. Staying true to his daredevil reputation, Cruise once again performs all his stunts without a double or CGI, including standing on the wing of a plane in mid-flight. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning suitable for audiences 13 years and above. (irf)
