Mirzapur is a lawless city ruled by Akhandanand Tripathi, better known as Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), a millionaire carpet businessman who also leads a ruthless criminal organization. His son, Munna (Divyendu Sharma), is his brutal heir, obsessed with preserving his father’s power by any means necessary. Conflict erupts when an accidental shooting takes place at a wedding celebration in Mirzapur.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur continues the story of the television series of the same title on a grander cinematic scale. In the film, Gurmmeet Singh presents a darker conflict than that portrayed in the television series.
