Mertua Ngeri Kali
Andara (Naysila Mirdad) lives under the same roof as her mother-in-law, Donda (Cynthia Corla), whose socialite and hedonistic lifestyle creates constant tension in the household. Donda’s dominant attitude places increasing pressure on Andara, to the point of her thinking of moving out. The situation is further complicated by emotional strain and unresolved conflicts within the family.
Meanwhile, Andara’s husband, Raja (Dimas Anggara), finds himself trapped between his wife and his mother, who lives alone and depends on him emotionally. Unable to make a firm decision, Raja’s indecision only deepens the rift between the two women. Directed by Key Mangunsong, Mertua Ngeri Kali explores family dynamics with a blend of drama and comedy. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated the film for audiences aged 13 and above. (dir)
