

Mendadak Dangdut
Naya (Anya Geraldine), a glamorous pop singer, wakes up covered in blood inside her dressing room. Nearby, her manager Zul (Calvin Jeremy) lies dead in a gruesome state. Disoriented and panicked, Naya spirals into hysteria. Her producer, Thomas (Sadha Triyudha), urges her to flee before the police catch up. In desperation, Naya takes off with her younger sister, Lola (Aisha Nurra Datau), and their father, Anwar (Joshua Pandelaki), who suffers from Alzheimer's. With barely any money, they escape to the remote village of Singalaya. Naya makes a bold decision, she joins a local dangdut orchestra as a singer alongside Wawan (Keanu Angelo) and Wendhoy (Fajar Nugra).
This heartwarming and humorous drama is written and directed by Monty Tiwa, known for his multifaceted debut in Maaf, Saya Menghamili Istri Anda (2007), where he also served as writer, editor, and music composer. Mendadak Dangdut (2025) is a remake of the 2006 cult hit directed by Rudi Soedjarwo. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on April 30, 2025, and has been rated 13+ by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF).
