Marty Supreme
Marty (Timothée Chalamet) is a talented, ambitious, and narcissistic table tennis player. He works at his uncle’s shoe store while secretly engaging in a relationship with his friend Rachel (Odessa A’zion). After suffering a humiliating defeat at the British Open, Marty becomes increasingly obsessed with achieving international success. His journey is complicated by a chaotic personal life, ongoing conflicts, and financial difficulties. In pursuit of his ambitions, he resorts to dishonest practices and manipulates a former famous actress, Kay Stone (Gwyneth Paltrow), further complicating his situation.
Inspired by the legendary American table tennis player Marty Reisman and set in the 1950s, the film presents an intense and dynamic narrative. It has received numerous accolades, including Best Film at the Midnight Critics Circle (MCC) along with eight additional awards, 11 nominations at the 79th British Academy Film Awards, and nine nominations at the 98th Academy Awards. Marty Supreme was also listed among the Top 10 Films of 2025 by the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute.
