

Malam Jahanam
Indah (Pamela Bowie), a high school student, begins experiencing terrifying visions of a ghostly long black hair woman. The encounters intensify after she purchases a secondhand phone. A consultation with a local paranormal expert reveals a chilling truth, the phone once belonged to a young woman who died in a tragic accident. Her spirit, identified as Ayu (Nicole Anstee) remains restless. Haunted by Ayu’s disturbing presence, Indah teams up with her boyfriend Arga (Tirta Chand) and two school friends, Aldo (Adjie Alfarent) and Firli (Grace Violeta), to uncover the reason behind the spirit’s unrest and tried to exorcise.
Malam Jahanam marks the second collaboration between screenwriter Aviv Elham and lead actress Pamela Bowie, who previously worked together on the horror film Reva Guna Guna (directed by Jose Purnomo, 2019). The Film Censorship Institution of Republic of Indonesia (LSF), has rated this film suitable for viewers aged 13 plus. (sof)
