Alif (Rio Dewanto), a painter, suffers a severe accident that leaves him with partial memory loss. During his recovery, his wife Nadine (Faradina Mufti) welcomes an unexpected visitor, Alif's estranged mother (Vonny Anggraini), absent from their lives for many years. But Alif quickly senses something unsettling about her return. As he struggles to piece together his fractured memories, he becomes consumed by the eerie strangeness surrounding his mother’s presence.

Inspired by the classic West Sumatran folktale Malin Kundang, Legenda Kelam Malin Kundang weaves psychological conflict into a chilling thriller-mystery.
