Tony (Dwi Sasono) and Linda (Widi Mulia), along with their three children Sally (Widuri Puteri), Billy (Dru Prawiro Sasono), and Kenny (Den Bagus Sasono) live by one golden rule  extreme frugality. From charging phones at the local government office to eating free meals at strangers’ weddings and rationing toilet water, they go to great lengths just to make ends meet.

But despite their humble circumstances, laughter and love fill their days. When Tony's salary gets slashed due to corporate downsizing, the family is forced to leave their rented home and move into a makeshift shack above a storefront, once a bird cage warehouse. Clinging to their family’s age-old secret weapon the TRIK (Family Frugality Tactics) they fight to keep their dreams, love, and unity alive.

Based on the popular South Korean comic Saving Family by Yim Chang Ho, this adaptation brings to life one of Indonesia’s best-selling translated educational comic series, published under the same title by Gramedia BIP. Director Danial Rifki, known for Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu (2019) and the series Cinta Mati (2025), captures the soul of the story with humor, heart, and local flavor.
