Yuta Okkotsu (voiced by Megumi Ogata) once made a childhood promise to marry his best friend, Rika Orimoto (Kana Hanazawa). After Rika dies in a tragic accident, her spirit transforms into a powerful cursed entity that relentlessly haunts Yuta. Seeking to free him from the curse, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo (Yuichi Nakamura), invites Yuta to enroll at Jujutsu High School.

At school, Yuta begins training alongside new friends Toge Inumaki (Koki Uchiyama), Panda (Tomokazu Seki), and Maki Zenin (Mikako Komatsu). Under Gojo’s guidance, Yuta learns to control his immense power while attempting to break Rika’s curse. At the same time, he must confront the looming threat of Suguru Geto (Takahiro Sakurai), a powerful rogue sorcerer who has been expelled from the jujutsu world.

Directed by Park Sung-hoo, the film is adapted from the manga by Gege Akutami. Park previously directed The God of High School (2020). The theme songs are performed by the Japanese band King Gnu, featuring “Ichizu” as the opening theme and “Sakayume” as the ending theme, with both music videos surpassing 28 million views on YouTube. Jujutsu Kaisen: Zero, which contains elements of violence, strong language, and bullying, has been rated for audiences aged 13 and above by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF). (ian)
