Jalan Pulang
Arum (Saskia Chadwick), the daughter of Lastini (Luna Maya), becomes possessed every leap year birthday, turning violent and killing those closest to her. Desperate to save her daughter, Lastini seeks treatment before Arum’s next birthday. She is aided by Lia (Taskya Namya), her late husband’s eldest daughter, as they turn to shamans and spiritual healers. The healers reveal that Arum’s condition is tied to secrets from Lastini’s own parents’ past.
Jalan Pulang brings together three of Indonesia’s “Queens of Horror”—Luna Maya, Sharefa Danish, and Taskya Namya—in a chilling performance. This film also marks the directorial debut of Jeropoint, known for his popular horror threads.
