Interstellar
Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a former NASA pilot, discovers a gravitational anomaly in the bedroom of his daughter, Murph (Jessica Chastain). The anomaly leads him to a secret NASA facility that is still operational. Together with Professor Brand (Michael Caine) and his daughter, astronaut Dr. Amelia Brand (Anne Hathaway), Cooper embarks on a mission to save humanity by traveling through a “wormhole” near Saturn in search of a new habitable planet.
Director Christopher Nolan combines scientific elements with powerful emotional drama. Nolan also collaborated with renowned physicist Dr. Kip Thorne, who won the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics. Dr. Kip Thorne provided the theoretical equations used to simulate the “wormhole” and “black hole” depicted in the film. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified Interstellar for audiences aged 13 and above. (miq)
