Agnes Hathaway (Jessie Buckley), a free-spirited herbalist with a deep connection to nature, falls in love with William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal), an ambitious Latin tutor with artistic aspirations. After their marriage, William leaves for London to pursue his dreams, while Agnes remains in Stratford with their children—Susanna (Bodhi Rae Breathnach), Hamnet (Jacobi Jupe), and Judith (Olivia Lynes).
Adapted from the bestselling novel Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell, the film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in August 2025 and received multiple accolades.
