Hamka : Awal Mula Vol. 3
Hamka (Vino G. Bastian), who is more interested in literature, frequently finds himself at odds with his father, Haji Rosul (Donny Damara), who is devoted to Islamic preaching and religious activities in Maninjau, West Sumatra. Seeking to discover his identity, Hamka travels to Mecca through his own efforts. During his journey, he learns organizational skills, discovers the system of Hajj rituals, and develops a greater mission to advance Islam in Indonesia. Although his father has yet to acknowledge his abilities, the experience shapes his character and eventually leads him to meet his future wife, Siti Raham (Laudya Cynthia Bella).
Hamka: Awal Mula is the third installment in the biographical trilogy about Buya Hamka, a prominent Indonesian Islamic scholar, writer, philosopher, and politician. Unlike the previous two films, Buya Hamka (2023) and Buya Hamka & Siti Raham (2023), this installment focuses on the profound relationship between Hamka and his father. Portraying a man who dedicates his entire life to the mission of developing and advancing Islam in Indonesia, Hamka: Awal Mula has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) as suitable for audiences of all ages (SU).
