Good Boy
A loyal dog named Indy (played by Indy) follows his owner, Todd (Shane Jensen), as they move into the late Grandpa’s (Larry Fessenden) remote house on the edge of the woods. The move is met with disapproval from Todd’s family, as his health continues to deteriorate. Indy accompanies his master through lonely days, watching over him with silent devotion. Within days, the dog begins to sense a sinister presence haunting the old house. Despite fear and helplessness, Indy remains steadfast in protecting Todd, unaware that both their lives are in danger from the same dark force that once shadowed Grandpa’s death and that of his own dog.
Director and screenwriter Ben Leonberg spent nearly three years developing and completing Good Boy. Choosing authenticity over digital effects, Leonberg cast his own dog, Indy, as the lead without relying on CGI. The result is an intimate and eerie portrayal of loyalty, isolation, and unseen horror told through the eyes of man’s best friend. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified this film for audiences aged 13 and above (nkn).
