Alfian (Baskara Mahendra), a mortuary makeup artist who was born with the ability to see the supernatural, is accustomed to interacting and even befriending several spirits. Among them are Bang Arip (Tanta Ginting), Nurse Wanda (Chika Waode), Ci Natalie (Leony VH), and Mbak Min (Siti Fauziah). Alfian’s peaceful life comes to an end when he is assigned to prepare the body of Maya (Yasamin Jasem), an influencer whose restless spirit remains after her apparent death from a heart condition. Convinced that she was actually murdered, Maya asks Alfian to help investigate the mystery surrounding her death. Alfian agrees to help on one condition: Maya must help him reunite with the spirit of his mother, Ranti (Mona Ratuliu).

Director Arie Azis previously directed dozens of television films and more than a dozen feature films, including Suster Ngesot (2007), Tali Pocong Perawan (2008), Perjaka Terakhir (2009), and Kutukan Sembilan Setan (2023). Scheduled for release in Indonesian cinemas on 15 October 2026, Ghosting has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 13 and above. (nmn)
