Final Destination: Bloodlines follows Stefanie Lewis (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), a college student haunted by recurring nightmares of a tragic accident. The dreams turn out to be connected to the past of her grandmother, Iris Campbell (Brec Bassinger), who once escaped death. Iris’s survival inadvertently triggers a curse that threatens her bloodline. Stefanie realizes that her nightmares are a warning that death is closing in on her family, and she must find a way to break the cycle before it is too late.

Unlike the previous films, Bloodlines explores the origins of the cycle of death that haunts its victims. The film connects a 1969 timeline with the present day, revealing that death does not only pursue those who have escaped their fate, but also their descendants. Filmed in Vancouver, the film delivers a tense horror experience that combines the franchise’s classic elements with a fresh narrative approach, while maintaining the suspense and mystery of its predecessors. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified this film for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (fas)
