Still grieving the tragic loss of her family, Orla Ryan (Grace Collender) is reluctant to spend time with her friends Nessa (Daisy Jelley), Lorcan (Clinton Liberty), Sean (Oskar Smith), and Austin (Rhys Mannion). However, the group of social media influencers manages to persuade Orla to join them for a weekend getaway in a remote area of the Irish countryside, hoping to help her recover emotionally. During their stay, Orla begins hearing strange whispers and accidentally injures her finger. When her blood drips onto the ground, it awakens Dearg Due (Niamh Hogan), a terrifying ancient vampire from Irish folklore.

Director Marco van Belle explores vampire mythology through the rich traditions of Irish folklore. Inspired by the story of Dracula, the legend of Dearg Due revolves around death, seduction, and an insatiable hunger that lasts for eternity.
