His friend Sekar (Hana Saraswati) suggests he explore the world of traditional mysticism as a research topic. Meanwhile, Mbah Djambrong (Wira Nagara), an eccentric and legendary shaman from the remote village of Kalimati—known for its strong supernatural traditions holds deep secrets about the intricate relationship between humans and the mystical realm.

Director Chiska Doppert has previously worked on several films and series, including Pulung Gantung (2025), Radio (2023), Tulah (2022), and Twisted 2 (2021). Dukun Magang is a collaboration between BUMDes Tirta Mandiri Ponggok, Klaten, Central Java, and Dens Vision Multimedia, created to uplift the local community and promote regional tourism.
