Malik (Angga Yunanda) and Alya (Shenina Cinnamon) find their marriage crumbling under the weight of unemployment and mounting financial pressure. Frequent arguments strain their already fragile relationship. One night, on his way home, Malik’s car breaks down. Arief (Anjasmara), a stranger, offers him a ride home. Out of courtesy and due to the heavy rain, Malik and Alya invite Arief to stay the night at their house. The next morning, Arief is found dead with a syringe in his arm, leaving behind a suitcase full of money. This discovery pulls Malik and Alya into a dangerous web of consequences, testing their love, loyalty, and moral boundaries. As the couple navigates the chaos triggered by the mysterious windfall, they confront choices that could either destroy or strengthen their bond. 

Dopamin, a drama film, is the latest production from Starvision and Karuna Pictures. Written and directed by Teddy Soeriaatmadja, the film serves as a reminder about drug abuse and will be released in theaters starting 13 November 2025. The Film Censorship Institution of the Republic of Indonesia (LSF) has rated this film suitable for audiences aged 13 and above. (nmn)
