DO DEEWANE SEHER MEIN
Shashank Sharma (Siddhant Chaturvedi), a marketing professional from Patna living in Mumbai, struggles with confidence when speaking in public due to a speech disorder he has lived with since childhood. Meanwhile, Roshni (Mrunal Thakur), a content creator for a leading fashion magazine, quietly battles insecurities about her physical appearance and often feels inadequate in a world obsessed with perfection. When their paths cross, they find comfort, understanding, and acceptance in each other’s company. As their relationship deepens and the possibility of a shared future comes within reach, social expectations and unrealistic standards of perfection begin to test their bond. Faced with fears they have long tried to avoid, both must learn to embrace their vulnerabilities and accept themselves as they are.
Do Deewane Sheher Mein pays tribute to the iconic classic song of the same name from Gharonda (1977), a film about young dreamers striving to build a future amid the challenges of urban life. Meaning “Two People Madly in Love in This City,” the film explores love, self-acceptance, and the courage to overcome personal insecurities. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated the film for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (adl)
